The paintings displayed in this section are representative of my most current work, which includes two series: The first entitled "I Come From the Sun" consist of works in soft pigment pastels and acrylic paints. The idea of the series blossomed from my study of metaphysics, where I'd run across text that proclaimed there were high spiritual beings living in the sun, who sent wisdom and inspiration to us via the sun's rays. The overlying theme throughout includes the incorporation of the sun itself, representative of a higher source which sustains our lives.

The second series is entitled "Messages From the Light," which consist of messaging received from a higher source. Though sometimes harsh, the messaging is presented not to criticize, but to provoke thought! for although each one of us is an individual, we are also part of a whole, and responsible for our world.

 

My mediums of choice include, acrylic paints, oil pastels and soft pure pigment pastels on grit sandpapers.
